SF Golden Gate Park

Below are pictures from a recent trip to SF's Golden Gate Park. It was
nice to take advantage of a short break from the rains and visit the
park. Too bad we didn't get to see the bisons, and the De Young Meseum
and Asian Art Meseum were under construction. But we were able to go to
Japan Town afterwards. Click on the pictures to see a bigger version.

Entrance To Japanese Tea Garden

The Tea Garden had several different types of trees and plants. Very green, but not too much flowers around this time of the year.

Tea Garden Tower

Bronze statue of Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha. The statue was cast in 1790 in Japan and presented to the garden in 1949.

Tea Garden Waterfall and Towers

Another Waterfall picture.

Tea House

Tree on an Island. The garden has several trees that look like bonsai.

Strybing Arboretum and Botanical Gardens (SABG)

Banana Trees in SABG. I haven't seen one of these in more than 15 years!

Stow Lake Bridge.

Gazebo in the middle of Stow Lake.
